The ArchOpen project is dedicated to Archos devices.

It provides:

• Games
• New sound codecs (Ogg,mp3,wav, midi, and more!)
• Some useful applications

All this is made possible by our operating system: MediOS, you can download the latest version here

• Old devices: Jbmm, Av1xx, Av3xx
• Gmini : Gmini400 and Gmini402/cc
• Av400 and PMA
• Av500

Possible future devices: Gmini500 and Av700/TV

What we provide

• AvLo our bootloader available ONLY for Jbmm, Av1xx and Av3xx
• MediOS : The heart of all other applications, it's a full OS supporting most of the hardware of the different Archos devices

Using MediOS you can:

• play a variety of sound format (currently codecs are available for mp3, ogg, wav, musePack, wavPack, midi, sid)
• launch some of our applications (Games, text reader, calendar, gCalc, ...)
• manage your files

MediOS is also embedded in some other applications:
